Who loves summer?!

Summer is Toby's and Bella's favorite season because they can sunbathe all day and enjoy walks in the evenings. They hope your summer is just as fun and wish you all a safe and Happy 4th of July!

Aloha from Hawaii!

I'm ready to pack my bags, along with Toby and Bella, and visit Hawaii again! Wow, did Mike and I have such a wonderful time. Our adventure started in O'ahu where we spent our first day visiting with Mike's Aunt Rita Clare and Uncle Tim. Rita Clare picked us up at the airport, gave each of us beautiful leis, and served a yummy dinner! We thank you for your hospitality.

Finally...feet have hit the sand! This is Erin's happy place.

After spending some time on the beach and enjoying a great dinner, we headed to our hotel in Honolulu on Waikiki Beach. First on the agenda was to visit Pearl Harbour the next day.

The following day was spent exploring the beautiful North Shore that's known for massive waves and surfing competitions during the winter months. The day started out with Mike's shark excursion.

We also saw sea turtles, explored the botantical gardens, ate a great lunch and real Hawaiian Shaved Iced, visited the Dola Plantation and North Shore Soap Factory.

After spending three great days in O'ahu, we traveled to The Big Island....home of the most active volcano on earth! While driving to Volcano National Park, we stopped at some beautiful spots along the way.

Here's the most active volcano on earth. My fingers were crossed for a Dante's Peak moment; ok, maybe I just wanted to feel a lil' rumble and see some lava.

This resort was beautiful. Here are a couple pictures of us enjoying our dining experience at the hotel restaurant. Great food, but an even better view!

The Big Island was so diverse.....black lava rock combined with lush rainforest. I recommend anyone to travel to this beauitful place. Our last island hop was to Maui. Words can't describe how beautiful the Grand Wailea Resort is. We enjoyed an 8-hr snorkeling adventure, sunbathing, and a luau. Mike even took surfing lessons!

All and all, this was a trip to remember. I like to plan my vacations years in advance (I'm obsessive like that)...Hawaii is definitely on the "re-visit" list! Aloha!
